2 Thank you for your welcome. I have looked forward to telling you about Allied airmen shot down over Denmark – with local angles.
3 I am going to show you and tell about pages on the internet till the coffee break. Questions and comments at the very end.

6 I know Aalum as the place where Kirsten Klitgård lives. Fine that she passed a plaque with Aalum Church on to you, and you gave it a
7 fine place on a wall.
8 On The Randers Tapestry, a picture dictionary of the town and the area in my internet edition from 2006, you see Two stone faces on
9 Aalum Church. The tapestry itself is placed on a wall in the big assembly hall in Randers. Before that I made Linksbuketten (A Bunch of
10 Links) in 1998, while I was a teacher and guidance councellor in Havndal. Now I have spent 14½ years on AirmenDK. It will be lifelong.

11 A local angle is that A lark ascended was written by Mads Nielsen while he was visiting his brother in his home as a child near Langaa
12 in May 1945. Next angle is that it was translated into English by Edward Broadbridge for a special occasion. Many of us, in and around
13 Randers, are glad to know him. The occasion was the unveiling of a Memorial Stone in Grønhøj.

15 Since 1969 Randers has been the town Karen and I have visited, and we have lived here since 2004. Before my work in the school I
16 had spent 2 years in the field artillery where I became an officer of the reserve. My personal knowledge of aviation is mostly as a
17 passenger of RyanAir.

27 other sources are mentioned where they appear. Kirsten Klitgård has tirelessly proofread my English. Important! Mistakes draw 
28 attention away from the subject! She also translates particularly difficult texts. The latest is a folder into German to the church in Idom.
