P-Peter HX224 took off at 16.25 hours and 5 hours later it was shot down by a German Major in a Ju88 from I/NJG 3. On 14 November 1979 a fisherman catching lobsters got pieces of wreckage in his net at a depth of 39 fathoms on the position 57°56N - 10°40 E. The find consisted of aluminium parts, machine
gun ammunition, a button, a lighter, a watch and human bones. The watch had the
