Den 26. april 1945 forsvandt HAL JP330. Måske blev flyet skudt ned af tyske natjagere over Skagerrak.

Halifax GR. III RAF serie No JP330 fra 58 Sqn. kendingsbogstaver 'BY - Q' startede fra RAF Stornoway på en patruljetur efter tyske skibe og U-både
i Skagerrak-området. Det kom ikke tilbage!

Imidlertid blev to besætningsmedlemmer skyllet op på kysten nær den sydnorske by Mandal kort efter at flyet gik tabt.
De er begravet på byens kirkegård. (Kilde: Robin Hudson fra RAFA Stornoway).

On 26 April 1945 HAL JP330 disappeared. Maybe it was shot down by German night fighters over the Skagerrak.

Halifax GR. III RAF serial No JP330 of 58 Sqn. coded 'BY - Q' took off from RAF Stornoway on an anti-shipping sortie in the Skagerrak area
and it failed to return.

However, two crew members were washed ashore near the southern Norwegian town of Mandal shortly after the aircraft was lost.
They are buried in the town churchyard. (Source: Robin Hudson of RAFA Stornoway).
