Kl. 14.45 lettede JP333 fra Hebriderne, og kl. 19.25 meddelte piloten, F/Lt Dudley Ronald McLeod, over radioen, at han havde observeret et 4000 tons motorskib SØ
for Anholt. Kl. 20.20 meldte han, at skibet muligvis var ramt af to stk. 500 punds bomber. Derefter hørte man ikke mere til JP333. En tysk Ju88 fra I/ NJG3 opererede
via radarstationen »Schakal« ved Skagen, og en Halifax fra 502 Squadron blev angrebet af en tysk natjager NW for Hirtshals.
Kl. 21.10 styrtede et brændende fly ned i nordvestlig retning fra Hirtshals, og det er muligt, at dette fly var JP333." (FT 89-73-39)

On 29 November 1944 HAL JP333 disappeared - possibly shot down over the Skagerrak about here at 21:10. (Danish) Aviation Historical Review writes:

"29 November 1944 (21.10 hours). The Skagerrak, NW of Hirtshals. Halifax GR. II, JP333 (BY-O).
58 Squadron, 18 Group, Coastal Command, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis. (Anti shipping patrol in the Skagerrak / the Kattegat). 8 MIA.

At 14:45 JP333 took off from the Hebrides, and at 19:25 Pilot, F/Lt Dudley Ronald McLeod reported over the radio that he had observed a 4,000 tons
motor ship SE of Anholt. At 20.20 hours he reported that the ship had possibly been hit by two 500 lbs bombs. After that no more was heard from JP333. A German
Ju88 from I/NJG3 operated via the radar station "Schakal" at Skagen, and a Halifax from 502 Squadron was attacked by a German night fighter NW of Hirtshals.
At 21:10 a plane crashed, burning, in a direction north west of Hirtshals, and that plane might be JP333".  (FT 89-73-39)
