Carl Thrane tog fra sit hjem Ingerslevsgade 194, 3. sal tv. (her, se også
Google Map Shellhuset) dette foto af lystårnet på 35 m, der blev ramt. Han fastslog:

"Ved sammenstødet så jeg, at en del af halepartiet blev flået af, samtidig at flyet udløste to bomber. Disse bomber så for mig ud som de havde kurs lige mod vor ejendom, men deres hastighed og ejendommens lave højde (ca. 25 meter) bevirkede at disse gik hen over vor
ejendom og således i stedet faldt ned i Sønder Boulevard." (Foto og tekst fra Derek Carter)

From his home Ingerslevsgade 194, 3rd floor to the left, (here, see also
Google Map Shell House) Carl Thrane took this photo of the 35 m tall light tower that was hit.
He stated about the event:

"At the crash I saw that a part of the tail section was torn off while the plane released two bombs. To me it appeared that they were heading directly towards our house, but their speed and the relatively low height of the house (app. 25 metres) caused them to pass over our house and instead they fell down in Sønder Boulevard."
