Den 9. oktober 1943 blev dette fly i forbindelse med et bombetogt til Anklam (her) ramt over Østersøen.
Co-Pilot 2nd Lt Liming samt navigator, bombardier og
top turret gunner sprang ud med faldskærm, men Lt Winter klarede at slukke ilden og bringe sit fly sikkert tilbage til England. (Kilde: MACR)

Co-Pilot 2nd Lt Max E. Liming blev fundet den 7. november 1943 ved Lysabild Skov (her) på Als. Begravelsen i Aabenraa foregik den 10. november 1943. (Kilde: FAF)
Efter krigen blev hans lig gravet op og ført til Belgien, hvor han blev begravet på
Ardennes American Cemetery and Memorial, Neuville-en-Condroz.

On 7 November 1943 Co-Pilot 2nd Lt Max E. Liming was found at Lysabild Skov (here) on Als. On 10 November 1943 he was buried in Aabenraa. (Source: FAF)
After the war his body was disinterred and taken to Belgium where he was buried in the
