HAL NR173 var på en mineudlægningsoperation til Flensborg Fjord, da flyet blev angrebet af en JU 88G-6 og beskadiget. Se Minelægningsområder.

Flyet styrtede i havet øst for Als omkring her. Alle sprang ud med faldskærm og landede på Als, også Flying Officer (Navigator) H.K. Frair.

 Flyverne blev taget til fange og sendt til Dulag Luft Oberursel. Ved krigens slutning blev de befriet fra krigsfangelejren ved Moosburg. (Kilde: AOD)

HAL NR173 was on a minelaying operation to Flensburg Fjord, when it was attacked by a JU 88G-6 and damaged. See Minelaying areas.

The plane crashed into the sea east of Als about here. All bailed out and landed on Als, also Flying Officer (Navigator) H.K. Frair.

The airmen became POWs and were sent to Dulag Luft Oberursel. At the end of the war they were liberated from the POW Camp at Moosburg. (Source: AOD)
