Den 10. april 1945 blev HAL PN402 skudt ned over Kattegat, måske omkring her. (CWGC siger 11. april) Flyvehistorisk Tidsskrift skriver:

"9/10 april 1945, Kattegat. Halifax GR III, PN402 (V9-X).
502 Squadron, 18 Group, Coastal Command, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis. (Anti shipping patrol i Kattegat). 8 MIA.

(FT 89-73-45)  Se Halifax Print. 8 flyvere.

On 10 April 1945 HAL PN402 was shot down over the Kattegat, maybe about here. (CWGC says 11 April) (Danish) Aviation Historical Review writes:

"9/10 April 1945, the Kattegat. Halifax GR III, PN402 (V9-X).
502 Squadron, 18 Group, Coastal Command, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis. (Anti shipping patrol in the Kattegat). 8 MIA.

Between 01:40 and 02:45 two Halifaxes from 502 Squadron and three Halifaxes from 58 Squadron attacked a small convoy SE of Læsø. The convoy consisted of the "Hansa 1" of 1,923 BRT escorted by the "T13" and the "F7". It had left the harbour of Aarhus on 9 April at 18:00. All of the three ships were hit, but the "T13" and the "Hansa 1" were so damaged that they sank shortly after. Pilot, S/Ldr Dennis Hewitt Pruden DFC in PN402 may have attacked the same convoy, and PN402 might have been shot down. No trace of the plane and its crew of 8 airmen has ever been found."
