MOS SZ999 og MOS RS609 blev på tilbageturen mod England ramt af flak fra tyske stillinger ved Hundested (omkring her) og styrtede i havet øst for Samsø.
De 4 flyvere blev meldt savnede.

MOS SZ999 styrtede i havet 13 km nord for Nykøbing Sjælland, omkring her.

Flying Officer Ronald George Dawson, 27 år, var søn af George Francis og Constance Sophia Dawson, Undercliffe, New South Wales, Australia.
Hans navn er på Panel 283 på the Runnymede Memorial blandt mere end 20.000 navne på flyvere, der ikke har en kendt grav. (Kilde: CWGC)

On the return flight to England MOS SZ999 and MOS RS609 were attacked with flak from German positions at Hundested (about here) and crashed into the
sea east of Samsø. The 4 airmen were reported missing.

Flying Officer Ronald George Dawson, 27, was the son of George Francis and Constance Sophia Dawson, of Undercliffe, New South Wales, Australia.
