begravet i Esbjerg.
(FAF)

LAN ED614 udsendt mod
Stettin her, blev ramt af en tysk natjager og styrtede ned ved Vester Vedsted  (her), sydvest for Ribe. Alle om bord blev dræbt. (Kilde: FAF)

I april 2013 overværede Jim Cramer kranselæggelseshøjtideligheden. Hans bedstefar var storebror til
Patrick Cramer.

"At least 17 planes crashed in Danish territory during a great overflight of Denmark on the night
before 21 April 1943 targeting Stettin and Rostock. From 8 of these planes 40 perished airmen were
buried in Esbjerg. 37 of them were buried before noon on 30 April 1943 at the greatest interment of
allied airmen during the occupation. A German army chaplain took part in the ceremony, and wreaths
were laid from the German Wehrmacht and the Town Council of Esbjerg." (FAF)

In 2013 a contact was established between Aase Kjems and Berenice, the eldest daughter of F/Sgt Patrick Cramer.  On behalf of the family she was very grateful for
all of the effort and work taken to have the memorial stone erected.
In April 2013 Jim Cramer attended the wreathlaying ceremony. His grandfather was the big brother of Patrick Cramer.
In June 2013 Gary, the son of Berenice, and his daughter visited Vester Vedsted. See Patrick's Story.
Aase Kjems died on 4 August 2014. Based on information from her AirmenDK could write about the air crash.
Her daughter Birte stated that on 4 May 2015 Berenice and Gary came from Australia to attend the memorial ceremony.
