I forbindelse med en flyvning med våben
nødlandede STI LJ950 på vandet ved Tipperne
(omkring her

Flyets bombekaster G.C. Smale, blev
indlagt på det tyske feltlazaret i Horne by, hvor han døde den 8. maj 1945. Han
blev begravet i Horne
af sognepræsten den 10. maj 1945.
Resten af besætningen blev taget til fange af værnemagten i Nymindegab (her).

Flying Officer (Bomb
Aimer) G. C. Smale was taken to the German army hospital in Horne where he died
on 8 May 1945. He was buried in Horne
by the vicar on 10 May 1945.
The rest of the crew were captured by the Wehrmacht in Nymindegab (here).
