Fotos fra en undersøgelsesrapport fra 23. november 1946 fundet i november
2011 af Air Historical Branch i mappen om
Lancaster ED557!
Royal Air Force Museum "fastslog at de mente den særlige kombination af propel
og Merlin motor vist på billederne også angav at flyet var en Lancaster og IKKE
en Halifax."
Siden om Halifax DT628 har fotos med en motor, en anden motor og en propel
sendt 28 JAN 2011 til
CWGC. Tidligere undersøgelser var enige om,  at de enten
var fra Halifax eller Lancaster. En ekspert fra Planehunters erklærer nu, at de
fotos 100% sikkert er fra en Lancaster! X Se også fotos Merlin! Lancaster X.

Photos from Investigation Report by Missing Research and Enquiry Service
of 23rd November 1946 found in November 2011 by Air Historical Branch in the
files about Lancaster ED557! The Royal Air Force Museum "stated that they
believed the particular propellor/Merlin engine combination shown in the photos
also indicated that the aircraft was a Lancaster and NOT a Halifax."
The pages about Halifax DT628 contain photos of an engine, another engine and
a propeller sent 28 JAN 2011 to
CWGC. Earlier examinations pointed at either
Halifax or Lancaster. Now an expert from Planehunters state that those photos
