Den 28. april 1943 styrtede HAL HR773 i Kattegat, måske omkring her. Flyvehistorisk Tidsskrift skriver:
"28.-29. april 1943, Lysegrund i Kattegat, 10 km NV for Hesselø. Halifax B.II HR773 (NP-A). 158 BS, 4 BG, Lissett, Yorks. (Minering i Kattegat) 7 MIA.

9 fly fra 158 BS lagde miner mellem Gniben (her) og Anholt (her) i tidsrummet 00.10-01.20. Et fly blev observeret nedskudt af en tysk natjager i området.
Den 30. april opsamlede M/V »Vitus Bering« et landingshjul ca. 6 sømil NØ for Hesselø (omkring her). Ingen besætningsmedlemmer er fundet fra dette fly
men dele af vraget blev for år tilbage fundet af svømmedykkere på den angivne position." (FT 88-33-12) Se Minelægningsområder. 7 flyvere.

On 28 April 1943 HAL HR773 crashed into the Kattegat, maybe about here. (Danish) Aviation Historical Review writes:
"28 - 29 April 1943, Lysegrund in the Kattegat, 10 km NW of Hesselø. Halifax B.II HR773 (NP-A). 158 BS, 4 BG, Lissett, Yorks. (Minelaying in the Kattegat) 7 MIA.

9 planes from 158 Squadron laid mines between Gniben (here) and Anholt (here) in the interval 00.10-01.20 hours. One plane was observed shot down by a German
night fighter in the area. On 30 April M/V »Vitus Bering« picked up a landing wheel app. 6 nautical miles NE of Hesselø (about here). No crew members have been
found from this plane, but years back scuba divers found parts of the wreckage at the position indicated." (FT 88-33-12)
