Den 4. september 1943 kl. 02.30 styrtede LAN JA713 i Kattegat syd for Tunø (omkring her)
på hjemvejen fra et bombetogt til Berlin. Hele besætningen omkom.

"Piloten, F/O Anthony Crockford, drev i land ved Sletterhage (som er her) den 24. september og førtes
til Arhus, hvor han tre dage senere blev begravet ved siden af Robinson." (FT 90-63-15)

On 4 September 1943 at 02.30 hours LAN JA713 crashed into the Kattegat south of Tunø (about here) on the return flight from a bombing raid on Berlin. All of the crew perished.

"Pilot F/O Anthony Crockford drifted ashore at Sletterhage (which is here) on 24 September.
He was taken to Aarhus and 3 days later he was buried next to Robinson."
