Krig er altid hårdt,
især når det er ens hjemland. Det er vigtigt med sammenhold,
både som
nation men også hvis man bor i et andet land. Det er utroligt hårdt at se
det land man er vokset op i ligge i ruiner med folk der hver dag kæmper
for sit liv.
Det er med tungt hjerte at jeg tænder for fjernsynet
til billeder af hvordan krigen
hærger i mit land. Det letter mit
hjerte en hel del når jeg ser og hører om alt den
hjælp der kommer
fra den vestlige verden. Både til frontlinjen men i den grad også
til de af mine landsmænd som flygter fra den terror der er i mit hjemland.
Det rører
mit hjerte når jeg ser alle de danskere som hjælper med
forskellige former for
nødhjælp til de ramte områder i Ukraine. Troen
på at vi nok skal komme gennem
denne utroligt svære tid bliver
stærkere for hver dag der går. Putin havde regnet
med at det var
nemt at indtage Ukraine og vælte vores regering, men vi har bevist
at vi er et land som kan finde ud af at stå sammen når det virkelig gælder.

War is always
hard, particularly when it is in your native country. Solidarity is
important in a country, but also if you live in another country. It is
incredibly
hard to see the country where I grew up lie in ruins with
people who struggle
for their lives every day. With a heavy heart I
turn on the TV to pictures about
how the war is ravaging my country.
It lightens my heart considerably when I
see and hear about all of
the assistance coming from the western world. Both
to the front line
but very much also to those of my countrymen who are fleeing
from
the terror in my native country. My heart is moved when I see all of the
Danes who help with various forms of emergency aid to the affected areas
in
Ukraine. The belief that we will get through this incredibly hard
time grows for
every day. Putin had calculated that it would be easy
to capture Ukraine and
overturn our government, but we have proved
that we are a country that can
stand together when it comes to the
crunch.
