Pilot Officer (Pilot) Earl Robert Hale, 25, of United Kingdom, was the son of Robert Ethelbert and Maud Cunningham Hale, of North Vancouver,
British Columbia, Canada. (Source: CWGC) He lived in Canada, but he went to England to join the Royal Air Force a year before he was shot down.
