Sergeant Stephen Alfred Symons
was the Pilot of Hudson AM523.

This photo shows his older brother Vic Symons
with a Halifax bomber.

Margaret Balsom wrote,

"Also attached, a photo of
George Edward Victor Symons ( Vic ) similar to
the one of his brother. Our Mother had the pictures
of her brothers on her wall at home.

Vic served in the Fire Service at the beginning of
the war but immediately joined up with RAF after
his brother was killed.

He survived the war and emigrated to New Zealand
10 years later.

His son, also named Stephen Symons
after his uncle is The Town Crier in Christchurch,
New Zealand and is a passionate historian."

Margaret Balsom and he sent
photos and texts about the brothers. You may see
