HAL W1226 blev på vej til bombemålet Flensburg skudt ned af en tysk natjager og styrtede ned nær Sønderborg.

Alle besætningsmedlemmer klarede at springe ud med faldskærm. De blev taget til fange og sendt til Stalag VIII Lamsdorf. (Kilde: AOD, se detaljer) Se p102MACR.

On its way to bomb Flensburg  HAL W1226 was shot down by a German night fighter and crashed near Sønderborg.

All crew members managed to bail out. They became POWs and were sent to Stalag VIII Lamsdorf. (Source: AOD, see details)
