Flyet blev ramt af flak og styrtede i havet knap 700 m fra kysten (omkring her, overblik her). Ingen overlevende." (MACR - blanket om tabt besætning)

S. D. Dean og L. G. Murphy blev fundet ved Hansted og begravet den 11. april 1942 i Frederikshavn.
A. K. Hamilton, indbragt til Frederikshavn fra Thisted, blev begravet den 27. juli 1942.

"On 5 April 1942 at 10.39 hrs. a Hudson Mk. V, AM684 made a bomb attack raid on a German vessel off Hanstholm.
The aircraft was hit by Anti-Aircraft fire and crashed in the sea about 700 yards from shore (about here, overview here ). No survivors." (MACR-Missing Air Crew Report)

S. D. Dean and L. G. Murphy were found at Hansted and buried in Frederikshavn on 11 April 1942.
A. K. Hamilton, taken to Frederikshavn from Thisted, was buried on 27 July 1942.
