Den 31. juli 1940 styrtede BLE R3895 ned nær Lomborg (som er her). Sammen med en anden Blenheim havde dette fly angrebet Aalborg Flyveplads
(Aalborg West, Rødslet, fotos her, nu Aalborg Lufthavn) her.

2 tyske Me109 forfulgte angriberne og dette fly blev skudt ned. Besætningen overlevede og blev krigsfanger. AOD har detaljer.

3 flyvere blev ført til Tyske krigsfangelejre.

Sgt G. Remnant kom på hospital på grund af kvæstelser. Senere blev han ført til lejrene L1 Barth / L3 Sagan / L1 Barth / L6 Heydekrug / L4 Gross Tychow / L1 Barth. (Kilde: AOD) 3 flyvere.

On 31 July 1940 BLE R3895 crashed near Lomborg (which is here). Together with another Blenheim this plane had attacked Aalborg Airfield
(Aalborg West, Rødslet, photos here, now Aalborg Airport) here.

2 German Me109s chased the attackers and this plane was shot down. The crew survived and were taken captive. AOD has details.

3 airmen were taken to German POW-Camps.
