"I forbindelse med et bombetogt mod en fly-fabrik i Rostock nedstyrtede et "Manchester" fly den 24. april 1942 kl. ca. 03.00 ved Visgårde 3 km sydøst for Tinglev.
Flyet var i brand i luften. Flyets pilot, H.M. Stoffer, blev fundet dræbt. Han begravedes den 2. maj sammen med 6 andre britiske flyvere.
De øvrige 6 ombordværende flyvere reddede livet og blev taget til fange." (FAF)

"In connection with a bombing raid on an airplane factory in Rostock a "Manchester" plane crashed on April 24, 1942 at about 0300 at Visgårde 3 km
south east of Tinglev. The plane was on fire in the air. The pilot, H.M. Stoffer, was found killed. He was buried on May 2 together with 6 other British airmen.
The other 6 members of the crew on board the plane saved their lives and were captured." (FAF)
