  Den 9. februar 
1945 styrtede denne Halifax i Nordsøen i forbindelse med et bombeangreb på 
Politz ved 
Stettin som 
flyet skulle støtte. 
 
På hjemvejen kolliderede HAL MZ342 med en Lancaster, som 
ikke fik alvorlige skader, men 
HAL MZ342 styrtede ned. Hele besætningen blev dræbt.

Flying Officer David Percy Maeers Finnigan, 23 år, var søn af Stanley og 
Mabel Annie Finnigan, Southgate, Middlesex, United Kingdom. 
Hans navn er på Panel 266 på the Runnymede Memorial 
blandt mere end 20.000 navne på flyvere, der ikke har en

  On 9 February 1945 this Halifax crashed 
into the North Sea in connection with a bombing raid on Politz near 
Stettin - Szczecin 
which it was to support. 
On the return flight HAL MZ342 collided with a Lancaster 
which was not seriously damaged, but HAL MZ342 crashed. 
All of the crew perished.
