Den 12. januar 1945 kl. 21.05 blev HAL MZ805 på en minelægningsoperation til Flensborg Fjord skudt ned af en tysk natjager.

Sergeant James John Farquhar, 25 år, var søn af Alexander og Mary Farquhar, Portsoy, Banffshire, United Kingdom.

On 12 January 1945 at 21.05 hours HAL MZ805 was shot down by a German night fighter, while it was on a minelaying operation to the Flensburg Fjord.
