Den 12. januar 1945 kl. 21.05 blev HAL MZ805 på en minelægningsoperation til Flensborg Fjord skudt ned af en tysk natjager.

Pilot Officer James Samuel Netzke, 27 år, var søn af John og Amelia May Netzke, Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.
Hans navn er på Panel 281 på the Runnymede Memorial blandt mere end 20.000 navne på flyvere, der ikke har en kendt grav. (Kilde: CWGC)

On 12 January 1945 at 21.05 hours HAL MZ805 was shot down by a German night fighter, while it was on a minelaying operation to the Flensburg Fjord.

Pilot Officer James Samuel Netzke, 27, was the son of John and Amelia May Netzke, of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.
He is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial, Panel 281, among more than 20,000 airmen who have no known grave. (Source: CWGC)
His name is engraved on the Memorial Wall at the BC Museum of Canada. The Canadian Virtual War Memorial has this.
He is remembered on The Walls of Names at the International Bomber Command Centre, Phase 2, Panel 218.
