Den 16. juli 1942 styrtede STI W7524 "i havet 6,4 km SV for udløbet af Sneum Å". (p089MACR - omkring her).

De omkomne besætningsmedlemmer blev begravet i Esbjerg.
De 2 overlevende flyvere blev taget til fange.
