Den 11. juli 1942 styrtede MOS DK299 ned ved Rejsby Å, måske omkring her.

"Ved aftenstid den 11. juli 1942 blev Flensborg (her angrebet af »Mosquito« fly.
Det var meningen, at 6 fly skulle angribe, men det synes, som om nogle angreb Tønder (her) i stedet for og bombede et tog mellem Døstrup og Skærbæk.
I alt 6 danske blev dræbt og 16 såret ved disse hændelser.

Et af de mod Flensborg udsendte fly, »Mosquito« DK 299, nedstyrtede (evt. nødlandede) ved Rejsby Å.

De 2 ombordværende omkom. Flyverne blev begravet den 16. juli 1942." (FAF) 2 flyvere.

"In the evening of 11 July 1942 Flensburg was attacked by Mosquitoes.
6 planes were to attack, but it seems that instead some of them attacked Tønder (here) and bombed a train between Døstrup and Skærbæk.
Altogether 6 Danes were killed and 16 injured in these events.

One of the planes targeting Flensburg, »Mosquito« DK 299, crashed at Rejsby Å (Stream) - or made a hard forced landing.

The 2 crew members on board perished. The airmen were buried on 16 July 1942." (FAF)
