Poems to Keith Willard Rainford Updated: 17 MAY 2009 From "Den canadiske flyver" by Hans Henrik Bertram Larsen
The long poem was written in Canada to the airman
Keith Willard Rainford. The short one was found
on his grave a few days after his funeral.
He
did not die in his native land, With his loved ones by his side, He gave his life near Denmark’s land, For his country fought and died.
He
is buried there `near kindly soil;
And we know him now as the hero we know,
His mother and dad will be lonely we know,
Where all of our hero’s are gathered around, |
You Dear Young
Soldier, God Bless your Soul, You gave your Life, And for Denmark´s Cause. We have Lived
to see the Prieyty day,
