STI BK778 styrtede ned her  200 m nordvest for Beerstedgård, Beerstedvej 3, 7752 Snedsted
syd for Thisted (overblik her) den 4. november 1943.

Dette var i forbindelse med den samme mineudlægningsoperation til Østersøen, hvor STI BF461
styrtede ned her ved Kallerup omkring 2 km mod nord. Alle om bord STI BK778 blev dræbt. Seks
dræbte besætningsmedlemmer blev begravet i Frederikshavn den 13. november 1943.
Der blev aldrig fundet noget spor af den syvende besætningsmedlem, Sgt Copeland. (Kilde: FAF)

crashed here at Kallerup
about 2 km to the north. All aboard STI BK778 crashed near Beersted
perished.  6 killed crew members were buried in Frederikshavn on 13 November 1943.
No trace was ever found of the seventh crew member, Sgt Copeland. (Source: FAF)
