Den 27. august 1944 styrtede
LAN LM127 ned i Nordsøen under et bombetogt mod Kiel (her). Hele besætningen omkom.
Air Bomber D. F. O'Sullivan blev begravet i Esbjerg den 31. august 1944.
Pilot J. E. Morgan drev ind nær Vester Vedsted (omkring her) og nedgravet der af den tyske værnemagt.
Den 9. november 1945 begravede danskere ham i Esbjerg. (Kilde: FAF)

On 27 August 1944 LAN LM127  crashed in the North Sea on a bombing raid targeting Kiel (here). All of the crew perished.
Air Bomber D. F. O'Sullivan was buried in Esbjerg on 31 August 1944.
Pilot J. E. Morgan was washed ashore near Vester Vedsted (about here) and dug down there by the German Wehrmacht.
On 9 November 1945 Danes buried him in Esbjerg. (Source: FAF)
