Den 27. august 1944 styrtede LAN LM127 ned i Nordsøen under et bombetogt mod Kiel (her). Hele besætningen omkom.
Air Bomber D. F. O'Sullivan blev begravet i Esbjerg den 31. august 1944.
Pilot J. E. Morgan drev ind nær Vester Vedsted (omkring her) og nedgravet der af den tyske værnemagt.
Den 9. november 1945 begravede danskere ham i Esbjerg. (Kilde: FAF)
