Den 24. juli 1944 styrtede LAN PB208 i Nordsøen i forbindelse med et bombetogt til  Kiel. Hele besætningen omkom. Se p333MACR.

"Liget af flyets bombekaster, A. D. Aumell, inddrev ved Thorsminde strand (omkring her) og blev begravet den 12. september 1944 af den tyske værnemagt.
De øvrige 6 besætningsmedlemmer har ingen kendt grav." (FAF)

On 24 July 1944 LAN PB208 crashed into the North Sea in connection with a bombing raid on Kiel. All of the crew perished. See p333MACR.

The body of Air Bomber A. D. Aumell was found washed ashore on Thorsminde beach (about here).
On 12 September 1944 he was buried by the German Wehrmacht. The other 6 crew members have no known grave. (Source: FAF)
