Natten til den 21. april 1943 blev et Stirling fly (STI BF463) med Rostock som mål skudt ned ved Korsør, måske omkring her.
(Lost Bombers: Skudt ned af flak og styrtet i Storebælt nær Sprogø, vest for Halskov-Korsør.)
Alle ombord omkom i Storebælt. De blev fundet som lig i Storebælt, mellem Korsør og Reersø (her).

Sgt Hall blev begravet den 1. maj 1943, Sgt Tagg først den 2. juni på Bispebjerg Kirkegård. Sgt N. Shield blev begravet den 26. maj 1943, P/O Cross,
Sgt Cruttenden og Sgt Lindrea begravedes den 31. maj på Svinø Kirkegård. Om Sgt Offen er intet oplyst. (Kilde: FAF)

On the night before 21 April 1943 a Stirling (STI BF463) targeting Rostock was shot down at Korsør, maybe about here.
(Lost Bombers: Shot down by flak and crashed into the waters of the Storebælt near Sprogø, W of Halskov-Korsør)
All on board perished in the Storebælt. Their bodies were found in the Storebælt, between Korsør and Reersø (here).

Sgt Hall was buried on 1 May 1943, Sgt Tagg not until 2 June in Bispebjerg Cemetery. Sgt N. Shield was buried on 26 May 1943, P/O Cross,
Sgt Cruttenden and Sgt Lindrea were buried on 31 May in Svinø Churchyard. No information about Sgt Offen. (Source: FAF)
