Den 14. september 1942 må WEL R1588 være styrtet i Nordsøen under et bombetogt til Bremen. Hele besætningen omkom. Se p106MACR.
Den 16. oktober 1942 blev F/Sgt R. H. Galipeau fundet drevet ind nær Lakolk på Rømø, måske omkring her.
Han blev begravet på Kirkeby Kirkegård den 20. oktober 1942.

Sergeant Harry Francis MacArthur, canadisk statsborger, var søn af Henry F. MacArthur og Myrtle M. MacArthur, Braintree, Massachusetts, U.S.A.
Hans navn er på Panel 107 på the Runnymede Memorial blandt mere end 20.000 navne på flyvere, der ikke har en kendt grav. (Kilde: CWGC)

 On 14 September 1942 WEL R1588 must have crashed into the North Sea on a bombing raid on Bremen. All of the crew perished. See p106MACR.
On 16 October 1942 F/Sgt R. H. Galipeau was found drifted ashore near Lakolk on Rømø, maybe about here.
He was buried in Kirkeby Churchyard on 20 October 1942.

Sergeant Harry Francis MacArthur, a citizen of Canada, was the son of Henry F. MacArthur and Myrtle M. MacArthur, of Braintree, Massachusetts, U.S.A.
He is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial, Panel 107, among more than 20,000 airmen who have no known grave. (Source: CWGC)
His name is engraved on the Memorial Wall at the BC Museum of Canada. The Canadian Virtual War Memorial has this.
He is remembered on The Walls of Names at the International Bomber Command Centre, Phase 1, Panel 65.
