 "Natten til den 29. april 1943 udførte RAF en stor mineudlægningsoperation over Østersøen
og de indre danske farvande, hvorunder mindst 10 bombefly gik tabt over dansk område.

Et af disse, et Wellington fly, styrtede ned ved Over Jerstal kort efter midnat den 29. april 1943.
Alle ombord blev dræbt. De 5 omkomne flyvere begravedes den 7. maj 1943." (FAF)

"On the night before 29 April 1943 the Royal Air Force carried out a big minelaying operation
over the Baltic Sea and inner Danish waters. At least 10 bombers were lost over Danish territory.

One of these, a Wellington, crashed at Over Jerstal shortly after midnight on 29 April 1943.
All on board were killed. The 5 perished airmen were buried on 7 May 1943." (FAF)
