"Cedric Nils var søn af Reginald John Coldicott og Olga Neuendam. Coldicott-familien var fra Gloucestershire og nemme at spore tilbage til en lang familiehistorie til
den meget lille landsby Cow Honeybourne, nogle få miles fra Evesham i Gloucestershire. Reginald arbejdede på kontor ved jernbanen og som tandklinikassistent.
Han gjorde tjeneste i Somerset Light Infantry fra december 1915 til maj 1918.

Andre i familien slog sig ned i det maleriske Bourton on the Water, Chipping Campden og Long Marston. Olga var datter af Johannes Neuendam, oprindeligt fra
København. Hun døde i 1986 i Somerset. På den måde giver Cedric Nils besætningen på R5679 en direkte forbindelse til Danmark og det folk hun kom fra.
Han gik på Moseley School nær Birmingham og mindes på deres hjemmeside.

Cedric Nils havde en søster Florence Coldicott, som kan have levet til efter år 2000. Olga havde en søster Jella, og Reginald havde to søstre, Ida Kathleen gift med
Sidney Elson, og Edith May. Måske kan vi gennem efterkommere af disse slægtninge endnu genoprette kontakten til Coldicott-familien."

David Geddes sporer pårørende til besætningsmedlemmer på flyet, hvor hans onkel Pilot L.W. Morrison og resten af besætningen omkom den 25. september 1942.
Den 25. maj 2013 afsløres en Mindesten i Grønhøj  for de 7 flyvere. Det skal de pårørende gerne vide, så de måske kan komme til afsløringshøjtideligheden.

Tilføjet af Anders Straarup den 9. februar 2013: En oldefar til Cedric Nils Coldicott kom fra Danmark. Den mand havde en søster med et antal efterkommere. Hjælp fra et Forum i www.slaegtogdata.dk og Google-søgning gjorde det muligt at kontakte en mand i Danmark. Den søster var hans oldemor, så han og flyveren er fjerne slægtninge.

"Cedric Nils was the son of Reginald John Coldicott and Olga Neuendam. The Coldicotts were Gloucestershire folk and are easily traced back to a long family history at
the quaintly named tiny village of Cow Honeybourne, a few miles from Evesham, Gloucesrshire.  Reginald during his life worked as a railway clerk and dental assistant.
He served in the Somerset Light Infantry from December 1915 to May 1918

Other members of the family were settled in the picturesque Bourton on the Water, Chipping Campden and Long Marston. Olga was the daughter of Johannes Niels
Peter Neuendam, originally from the Copenhagen district. She died in 1986 in Somerset. So Cedric Nils gives the crew of R5679 a direct link to Denmark and her people.
He was educated at the Moseley School near Birmingham and is commemorated on their web pages.

Cedric Nils had a sister Florence Coldicott, who may have lived beyond 2000. Olga had a sister Jella, and Reginald had two sisters, Ida Kathleen who married Sidney
Elson and Edith May. Perhaps through the descendents of those relatives we may yet re-establish contact with the Coldicott family."

David Geddes is tracing relatives of crew members of the plane that crashed on 25 September 1942. His uncle Pilot L.W. Morrison and the other 6 airmen perished.
On 25 May 2013 a Memorial stone in Grønhøj to the 7 airmen will be unveiled. Relatives ought to know, so that they may attend the unveiling ceremony.

A great grandfather of Cedric Nils Coldicott came from Denmark. That man had a sister with a number of descendants. Help from a Forum in the genealogy website www.slaegtogdata.dk and Google made it possible to contact a man in Denmark. That sister was his great grandmother, so he and the airman are distant relatives.
