Den 11. oktober 1942 styrtede WEL BK341 i havet mellem Skallingen og Langli (omkring her) i
forbindelse med en minelægningsoperation over Kattegat.

Alle om bord omkom. 3 af de omkomne besætningsmedlemmer blev fundet.
De blev begravet i Esbjerg den 16. oktober 1942.

His cheery smile and heart of gold no dearer son this world could hold. Mum & Dad
  His name is engraved on the Memorial Wall at the BC Museum of Canada. The Canadian Virtual War Memorial has this.
He is remembered on The Walls of Names at the International Bomber Command Centre, Phase 2, P 238.
