Den 11. oktober 1942 styrtede WEL BK341 i havet mellem Skallingen og Langli (omkring her) i forbindelse med en minelægningsoperation over Kattegat.

Alle om bord omkom. 3 af de omkomne besætningsmedlemmer blev fundet.
De blev begravet i Esbjerg den 16. oktober 1942.
