rejst her.

On the return flight after minelaying in the Danzig (Gdansk) Bay here this Lancaster was shot down by a German night fighter here over the central part of Jutland
at Aastruplund. The crash site at close range is at the memorial cross erected here after the liberation of Denmark in May 1945. All of the crew perished.
See Information board
erected here,  overview here and here, at Sandvej 15, 8740 Brædstrup at a small private airfield.

The German Wehrmacht dug down the bodies on Gl. Rye churchyard, which was sealed off, while it happened. However, the grave digger and another resident of
Rye stole a glance at it from the tower of the church, from which they saw German soldiers kicking some bags into the grave. The date is uncertain, as it was not recorded in the parish register in 1944. (Source: FAF)
