Den 8. november 1941 styrtede BLE T1807 i Nordsøen under
eskorteflyvning for 3 flyvebåde og u-båden HMS Rubis på eftersøgning.
Flyet forlod RAF Dyce kl. 07.25 den 8. november 1941. Det ramte vandet kl. 11.17
og sank. Hele besætningen omkom.
Liget af Sgt Leake drev ind nær Hirtshals (omkring
her).

On 8 November 1941 crashed into the North
Sea. It escorted 3 flying boats and HMS Rubis (submarine) on search.
The plane left RAF Dyce at 0725 hours on 8 November 1941. It hit the water at
1117 hours and sank. All of the crew perished.
The body of Sgt Leake drifted ashore near Hirtshals (about
