WEL P9292 i havet.
"Under et bombetogt med Berlin som mål styrtede et
Wellington fly i
havet (måske omkring
her) den 24. oktober 1940. Hele besætningen omkom.
Et af de omkomne besætningsmedlemmer, F. B. Cleak, blev fundet inddrevet som lig
på Fanø (som er
her) og blev begravet den 12. december 1940.
En britisk trawler opsamlede liget af en anden flyver, P/O Finlayson, der begravedes til søs. Resten af besætningen, 4 mand, har ingen kendt grav." (FAF)

On 24 October 1940
WEL P9292 crashed into the sea (maybe about
here) during a bombing raid on
Berlin. All of the crew perished.
The body of F. B. Cleak was found washed ashore on Fanø (which is here). He was buried in Esbjerg on 12 December 1940.
A British trawler retrieved the body of P/O Finlayson who was buried at sea. 4 airmen have no known grave. (Source: FAF)
