Den 16. februar 1944 styrtede LAN DV330 i havet ved Langeland, måske omkring her, under et bombetogt til Berlin. Hele besætningen omkom.

R. C. Parry og G. H. Carpenter blev begravet i Berlin. De blev skyllet ind på Tysklands kyst i ugerne efter styrtet, siger Lost Bombers.

16 February 1944 LAN DV330 crashed into the sea at Langeland, maybe about here, on a bombing raid on Berlin. All of the crew perished.

R. C. Parry and G. H. Carpenter were buried in Berlin. In the weeks that followed
the crash they were washed onto German shores, Lost Bombers says.
