Den 26. april 1942 styrtede STI W7514 ned ved Kravlund her (overblik her) ca. 300 m øst for
Julianehåbvej 32, 6360 Tinglev på et bombetogt mod Rostock.
Flyets radiotelegrafist, Sgt. East, var blevet dræbt i luften inden nedstyrtningen.

Et
andet besætningsmedlem, Sgt. Surridge, blev hårdt såret ført fra en gårdejer i Pebersmark til Tønder Sygehus, hvor han døde den 28. april 1942. Begge flyvere blev begravet i Aabenraa den 2. maj 1942.

On 26 April 1942 STI W7514 crashed at Kravlund here (overview here) about 300 m east of
Julianehåbvej 32, 6360 Tinglev on a bombing raid on Rostock.
Wireless Operator, Sgt East had been killed in the air before the crash.

Another crew member, Sgt Surridge, was taken, severely wounded, from a farmer's in Pebersmark to
Tønder Hospital, where he died on 28 April 1942. Both airmen were buried in Aabenraa on 2 May 1942.
