Den britiske ambassadør Dominic Schroeder overrakte en varm tak fra CWGC til Gunnar Hounsgaard, 90 år, for hans arbejde med allierede flyvere i mange år.
Oberstløjtnant C. Klaris, chef for Hærhjemmeværnsdistrikt Syd- og Sønderjylland overrakte Hjemmeværnets fortjensttegn til Gunnar Hounsgaard for samme.

Lieutenant Colonel C. Klaris of the Danish Home Guard in South Jutland presented Gunnar Hounsgaard with a medal for his work with Allied airmen for many years.
