Den 16. maj 1944 styrtede LAN LL963 ved Avernakø og LAN ME726 i Gamtofte under samme mission. Begge Lancasters var fra RAF Elsam Wolds.
Propel fra LAN LL963 afsløres af Sgt Andrew Rudolson, Royal Air Force og Den Britiske Ambassade og formand Ole Munck Jensen, Assens Dykkerklub.
