Peter Forrester tog initiativ til at få de nye bronzetavler efter at have besøgt stedet i oktober 2004, hvor han så at den gamle tavle fortalte en forkert historie om hvordan
EE138 blev skudt ned og styrtede ned. Peter Forrester ansøgte med held Australian Veteran Affairs Department Office of Australian War Graves om penge til nye
bronzetavler og granitsten til at markere og beskytte kanten af nedstyrtningsstedet.
Gruppen til genopbygning af EE138-mindesmærket, som består af slægtninge til de 4 australske besætningsmedlemmer, fik støtte og hjælp fra
den australske regering, private australske og danske firmaer og fra civile og militære myndigheder i Danmark. Lancaster EE138 AR-E2 fortæller mere.

Trækorset er en kopi af det som Ingemann Halkjær anbragte på graven for den uidentificerede flyver. Se Stadil - Historien og LAN EE138.

These bronze plaques to the crew of LAN EE138 have text plaque 1 (pdf) and text plaque 2 (pdf). The files and also Stadil Memorial photos are from Peter Forrester.

Peter Forrester took the initiative to get the new bronze plaques after visiting the site in October 2004 and saw that the old plaque told the wrong story about the
shooting down and crash of EE138. Peter Forrester successfully applied to the Australian Veteran Affairs Department Office of Australian War Graves for funding for
the new bronze plaques as well as funding for Granite Bollards to define and protect the boundaries of the crash site.
The EE138 Memorial Restoration Group, which comprises relatives of the 4 Australian crew members, got support and assistance from
the Australian Government, private Australian and Danish companies and from civilian and military authorities in Denmark. Lancaster EE138 AR-E2  tells more.
