Ved et stort arrangement på stedet i 2001 netop 57 år efter styrtet var Captain Clay til stede sammen med Hatten, Surprise og Gilcott, se foto.

Hjemmesiden Stormy Weather har fotos og mange detaljer om flyet, besætningen, nødlandingen, kort, links og meget mere, også arrangementerne i 2001 og 2004.

I 2003 fik Mogens Dyre, Gunnar Hounsgaard og Leo Bram EUC Syd
inddraget i projektet med at lave et monument. B 17-propellen blev hentet i Holland af Leo Bram og forberedt til monumentet på Danfoss på Als. Halen er med J som det var.
Monumentet skal minde os om historien fra den tid og ære de, der risikerede livet og gjorde en indsats for os under krigen. (Gunnar Hounsgaard)

Mange civile og en del militære enheder deltog både i 2001 og i 2004.
Hvert år den 24. maj gennemføres mindehøjtidelighed her af
Kontaktudvalget For De Militære Traditioner i Sønderborgområdet.

At a great reunion at the crash site in 2001 exactly 57 years after the crash, Captain Clay was present together with Hatten, Surprise and Gilcott, see photo.
The website Stormy Weather has photos and many details about the plane, the crew, the crash landing, maps, links and also much about reunion in 2001 and the anniversary in 2004.

In 2003 Mogens Dyre, Gunnar Hounsgaard and Leo Bram got EUC Syd involved in creating a monument. The B 17-propeller was fetched in Holland by Leo Bram and prepared for the monument at Danfoss based on Als. The tail bears a J as it originally did.

This monument will remind us of the history of that time and also honour those who risked their lives and made an effort for us during the war. (Gunnar Hounsgaard)
