Flying Officer Niels Juul Rysensteen Buchwald, 29, Pilot på
Spitfire IX PT718 fra 222 Squadron med base på B35 Godelmesnil Airfield mellem Dieppe og Abbeville i Frankrig blev dræbt i luftkamp over Schoondijke i Holland den 13. oktober 1944. 

Danish WW2 Pilots har dette om N.J.R. Buchwald.

Wikipedia: Schoondijke er en landsby i den the hollandske provins Zeeland. Den ligger i kommunen Sluis, omkring  5 km syd for Breskens.

Flying Officer Niels Juul Rysensteen Buchwald, 29, the Pilot of
Spitfire IX PT718 of 222 Squadron based at B35 Godelmesnil Airfield between Dieppe and Abbeville in France was killed in an aerial battle over Schoondijke in The Netherlands on 13 October, 1944.

Wikipedia: Schoondijke is a village in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is located in the municipality of Sluis, about 5 km south of Breskens.
Residents of Schoondijke provided a neat plot, but shortly after the liberation of Denmark the family had the deceased airman repatriated to his native country. ( FAF)
