Vejle, 02.32 hrs 22 May 1944: An aircraft has crashed near Vesterlund about 5 km east of Tyregod. The aircraft is burning. The area sealed off.
FLUKO Kolding informed. (FLUKO - Flug Kontrolle - a German HQ that received information about planes in the air and crashed planes.)

Vejle, 04.29 hrs 22 May 1944: About the aircraft that crashed 02.32 near Vesterlund about 5 km east of Thyregod:
The aircraft is a 4-engined bomber of British type, lying on the railway north west of Vester Station, about 1 km east north east from Vesterlund.
The aircraft is burning. About 8-10 unexploded smaller bombs, app. 20-30 kg, have been found. The Wehrmacht has sealed off the area.
The railway is still impassable. No crew in the aircraft. FLUKO Kolding informed.

Vejle, 06.55 hrs 22 May 1944: Addition to report from here at 04.44 hrs 22 May 1944:
A part of the fuselage of the British 4-engined bomber crashed near VESTERLUND has been found burning 1 km east of DØRKEN 11 km south east of Brande.
Two charred bodies were found in the wreckage and one body in the field. There were no bombs in this place. DtV has taken over the surveillance. FLUKO Kolding informed.

District Command of South Jutland 15.32 hrs 22 May 1944: Today the bomb expert has inspected the crash site 1 km NW of VESTERLUND. The British bomber
had crashed with the main part of the aircraft south of the railway Vesterlund-Thyregod and a smaller part north of the railway. The permanent way was cleared and not damaged. The aircraft had fallen down about 1 km north of DØRKEN. The German salvage commando states that there are no bombs or mines in the wreckage.
Traffic can be resumed. FLUKO Kolding informed.


District Command of South Jutland 15.32 hrs 22 May 1944: Addition to report of 02.32 hrs 22 May 1944 about crashed aircraft near Vesterlund about 27 km
north west of Vejle: The traffic on the railway line was resumed before noon when a German salvage commando had examined the aircraft.

10.15 hrs 23 May 1944: The bomb expert from
District Command of South Jutland stated when asked that the 8-10 unexploded bombs mentioned in report of
04.29 hrs 22 May 1944 found near the crashed aircraft near Vesterlund were harmless oxygen containers.

Vejle, 10.00 hrs 24 May 1944: The bodies of the airmen found near Vesterlund, 5 km east of Thyregod, have now been removed by the German Wehrmacht.

18.20 hrs 27 May 1944: The bomb expert has inspected the crash site 1 km east of Dørken, 11 km south east of Brande, of a part of the aircraft that crashed near Vesterlund. (Report of 06.55 hrs 22 May 1944)  Clearing carried out. Cordon raised.

Vejle, 16.12 hrs 1 June 1944: The bomb expert has inspected the crash site of the crashed aircraft near Vesterlund mentioned in the report of 02.32 22 May 1944.
Nothing to report. Cordon raised.

Vejle, 16.10 hrs 6 june 1944. Today at 14.00 hrs a British oxygen container was found in a field in NYGAARD near GIVE. The container is from the British aircraft
that crashed near VESTERLUND about 5 km east of Thyregod on 21 May 1944. The German Wehrmacht in VEJLE and FLUKO Kolding informed.
