Den 4. januar 1944 kl. 12.30 mavelandede B17 42-5838 i området her. Piloten klarede lige netop at komme over Storebælt og lande her.

On 4 January 1944 at 12.30 hours B17 42-5838 belly landed in the area here. The pilot just managed to get across the Great Belt and land here.
