Den 13. juni 1943 blev B17 4230164 med en besætning på 13 skudt ned over Østersøen nær Kiel (som er her).

Der blev observeret 8 faldskærme, men kun 2 mænd overlevede. 2 POW, 6 MIA og 5 KIA (1 Svinø og 4 Tyskland)

8 parachutes were seen. Only 2 men survived. 2 POW, 6 MIA and 5 KIA (1 Svinø and 4 Germany)

His name is not in the ABMC records, so most likely he was buried in a private cemetery in the U.S.A.
